Upcoming Seattle accessibility and digital equity events

I’m looking forward to attending two upcoming events in Seattle. Will I see you there?

Both these events are personal interests and adjacent to both the work I do and the work some of of my nonprofit clients do. I’m going with very little expectation beyond listening, learning, and hopefully meeting some wonderful people!

Since 2020, I’ve only attended a few in-person events, and so I am really looking forward to getting some community learning energy back in my life.

Seattle Cultural Accessibility Consortium 2025 Deep Dive Day

Accessibility Ally 2025

Thursday, October 16 · 9am – 4pm PDT, Town Hall Seattle

I’m proud to be an Ally Sponsor for this event put on by the organization founded by Elizabeth Ralston, a fellow nonprofit consultant.

This active learning opportunity will cover these important accessibility topics:

  • Building Buy In Within Your Organization
  • Moving Beyond Compliance from ADA to Inclusion
  • Building Relationships with Disability Communities
  • Reimagining a Relational Future: There Is No Me Without We

Each topic will be led by experts in the field, with the goal to provide practical tools that cultural professionals can apply to their accessibility strategies.

2025 Digital Inclusion Week: Gathering for Access & Equity

Wednesday, October 8 · 8:30am – 3pm PDT, Seattle Central Library

Shoutout to Jesse from RVC for flagging this event that I might have otherwise missed!

Join the local Digital Equity community for a day focused on making technology accessible to all and promoting equality in digital access!

I went to the King County Digital Inclusion summit in 2013, and it’ll be interesting to see what has changed and what is different locally these days.
