Last month, I helped get two news sites off the ground. Following the mission of my business, both websites “support people and organizations that improve their local, national, and global community.”
The Harder Foundation
The Harder Foundation—a private environmental foundation in Tacoma, WA—got a brand new design as part of a transition from the Plone CMS to WordPress. The website features sleeker content rewritten by the foundation’s staff, beautiful photos featuring the work and locations of their grantees, and clear guidelines for organizations receiving or applying for funding (the foundation’s application process is invitation-only). As with most sites I’ve helped launch in the past few years, the site is “responsive” so it looks good on phones and tablets.
(This website had a brief cameo on this blog last month as I wrote about the process we used to create the Grantee listings on the site with the TablePress plugin.)
Wayfind
At the same time as The Harder Foundation’s launch, I helped with the development and launch of Wayfind, an organization providing pro bono legal services to Washington nonprofits, and the new name for Washington Attorney’s Assisting Community Organization. The design and branding work was completed by Golden Lasso, who I then worked with to build the site in WordPress.
